Funny man Dom Irrera was arrested recently for drunk driving. He was the limo driver in The Big Lebowski. I wonder if he still has that rash…
Apparently $35 for two hours of bowling is cheap in the city that never sleeps. Here’s a review of Leisure Time Bowling.
Even though How to Lose Friends and Alienate People didn’t do so well in the box office this weekend, I’m still willing to give it a try. Here’s an Irish interview with one of our favorite stars, Jeff Bridges.
I think it’s a good thing I’m not famous. I probably wouldn’t handle all of the annoying people and incessant questions quite as well as Brad Pitt and George Clooney at this premiere. There’s a bit about the Coens in this article as well. It’s a long read, but definitely something to keep you entertained.

Finally, somebody in the media sings some praises for The Amateurs, or The Moguls as it was released in the UK. This hilarious movie starring Jeff Bridges, Joey "Pants", Ted Danson, William Fichtner, and plenty of other faces you’ll recognize is one of those gems most people haven’t come across yet. We sang it’s praises back in February on Episode 14. Check it out if you’re interested in what we had to say.
If you heard about Chef Duff from Ace of Cakes making a cake for the Louisville Lebowski Fest, that episode will be airing next week on October 9th. Be sure to tune in at 10pm EST on the Food Network.
Now, I definitely don’t agree with the statement:
"Kingpin,” nor “The Big Lebowski,” hardly inspired one to visit his or her nearest bowling centre and take up the sport.
However, it is nice to see somebody championing the sport of bowling.
So which Coen film do you consider to be their masterpiece? I’m sure you can figure out my vote. Here are a few thoughts on the topic.

A bowling alley in Columbus, OH got some renovations. They even serve up Lebowski Nachos. Sounds like this place is completely unspoiled.
Here’s another clip from How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.
A Peek into the World of Grayden Carter - Here’s an interview with the real guy that Jeff Bridges is portraying in How to Lose Friends and Alienate Peope. I had no idea it was a book written about this guy’s management style. It was an interesting read.
I’m not sure if I would pledge allegience to the Dude or not, but it definitely makes for an interesting title.
Flea is going back to school.
Brew and View on October 8th
Remember shinky-dinks and paint-by-number things as a kid? Well I know I do. Here’s a paint-by-number t-shirt. I’m not really sure how that would work, but apparently it’s the wave of the future.
