Roy Preston runs a Big Lebowski shop on Thompson St between Bleecker and W 3rd in New York City.  What started off as a joke has turned into quite a lucrative business for him.  He even gets to show up for work in his pajamas and bathrobe!  I had never heard of this place, but came across an article in the Public Eye section of Time Out New York - http://newyork.timeout.com/articles/public-eye/85727/roy-preston-public-eye.  Apparently people come far and wide to check this place out.

Have you been there?  We'd love to know what it's like and what's sold there.  I haven't found much online about it, but maybe I'm not searching for the right thing.  Are there any Lebowski stores in your neighborhood?  Where do you go to buy your memorabilia and what have you?

Don't go in there. A scary man in a bathrobe asked me if I needed anything.

I went in there recently and got two shirts. The place is pretty cool and they have a lot of Big Lebowski T-shirts and action figures and movies for sale. But the decorations and hand made card board cut outs of scenes and characters from the movies are also a major plus. They also have a lot of Star Wars stuff for sale as well. The owner is a nice guy and very talkative.

It seems like a cool place. Next time I'm in NYC, I'll have to try and stop by.

    The story is ludicrous.
