I haven't actually seen Jeff Bridges' latest film yet, but I've been passively paying attention to some of the reviews out there.  Unsurprisingly, they've been mixed.  Some people enjoy it, and a lot of people seem to be trashing it.  This doesn't really surprise me at all.  The exact same thing happened with The Big Lebowski.  I think it took at least a couple years before I saw positive talk about The Amateurs.

I know there are some of you out there that can't stand Justin Timberlake and that's one reason why you're refusing to watch this.  Like many, I can't really stand the guy's music, but he's not that bad of an actor.  He's done some pretty hilarious stuff on SNL and I was pleasantly surprised with Alpha Dog.  He wasn't bad in Black Snake Moan either.  Now while he hasn't delivered amazingly memorable roles, he also hasn't sucked so bad that it sticks out.  I'm just sayin give the guy a chance.  I'm hoping to be able to catch it soon, or when it comes out on DVD.  In the meantime, I'm counting down the days until Men Who Stare At Goats.
