I'm sure that many would say, "Fame isn't the reason why I act," but when Phillip Seymour Hoffman says it I definitely believe him. He just always comes off as a normal person. You know, somebody you could hang out with. I just hope his acting career doesn't end anytime soon and he wins at least a couple more Oscars.
There are some raging wild fires going through California right now. I've seen a couple status updates on Facebook from friends who have been evacuating. Another reason this info might be significant is because Jeff Bridges' home is in the path. Out thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by the fires.

The New York Lebowski Fest is still in full swing this weekend. They usually occur over Friday-Saturday, but this weekend was pushed back a day. Are Coen films overrated? Here is someone who thinks so. Obviously I'm a little biased in my opinions, but I had to point out that Memento can't really be knocked in this argument because it's a Nolan film.
